Sunday

Our last day in the Hill Country was perfect except for a strong wind.
We rode through Luckenbach down past Canyon Lake and down the
Guadalupe River Road. Then over delightfully curvy back roads to some
yuppie style comfort food in Comfort. Returned to Fburg via the Old
Tunnel Road This is what it's all about.

Tomorrow looks good for return to Houston.

Saturday

today some of the best scenery and riding in Texas (or the US). North
and West of fburg the Willow City Loop, Enchanted Rock, the Llano
canyon to Mason, and back to Fburg. Cloudy but mild and no rain. Isn't
it about time you gave some serious thought to thanking your lucky
stars you are in Texas?

Coopers BBQ, Mason Tx

A famous biker stop. Very good, but we are so spoiled with Goode
Company a block from our house.

It doesn't get much better.

Hill Country 1

The ride Thursday from Houston to Fredericksburg was pleasant and
uneventful, agreeably punctuated by a green chile cheeseburger at The
Roadhouse (Texas Monthly Award) and a detour down Creek Road from
Dripping Springs.

Today we headed up Tx 39 running along the beautiful south fork of the
Guadalupe then to Leakey and back on 337 one of the Twisted Sisters.
Mists and sometimes drizzle kept us from exploiting the curves but the
scenery was magnificent.

Along the river near Hunt we passed Toad Hall Two. A weird stone
whimsical mission. If anybody knows the story about it I would like to
hear.
